House Fire Destroys Car Keys

For the second time this year I have been called to a home where the owners lost all their possessions due to a house fire. The couple was lucky. The smoke detectors were not working but their dog woke them up just in the nick of time.

The electronic car keys and remotes were also consumed in the fire. When this happens you only have 2 choices. 1) call me to come to the car to fit and program replacement keys, or 2) tow the car to a dealer. Usually I am more convenient because I can do the work at the car. Your homeowners insurance will probably reimburse you for the charges.

  1. Hello my name is Paul Caldwell on the 6 of June my house caught fire and destroyed pretty much everything we owned. My roommate also lost all of his possessions including his car keys which had a transponder chip in it, now we have absolutely no way to go anywhere, we did not have homeowners insurance and are faced with an insurmountable challenge to rebuild what was destroyed. I’m am on a fixed income(SSI) and the only way we have to recover is through my govt benefits and donations from other people. Do you offer any kind of discount to make replacement key for people in a situation such as ours? If you don’t, do you know anyone who might? We have a very very limited budget/ income.
